Disruptive Capital to commission a viability report of their plan for Manston Airport

It has been announced today that the London based investment company, Disruptive Capital, with Edi Truell as Chairman, is to commission a report on their plans for Manston Airport.

We are pleased that they continue to show interest in Manston and clearly are continuing to work in the background to investigate the opportunities for aviation at the site. Edi Truell’s interest in Manston was officially announced back in November 2016: http://www.supportmanstonairport.org/breaking-news-press-release-ukip-thanet-concerning-edi-truell/

Back in August 2016, details were announced that Edi Truell had been introduced to Thanet District Council by Supporters of Manston Airport and has shown a keen interest in the future of Manston Airport. We are therefore pleased that work which again continues in the background, continues to move forward. We, as a group also continue to work behind the scenes as the campaign often requires.

We understand that the details and the process will remain confidential until such time that Disruptive Capital deem any information suitable for release.

Official release:

In the closing sentences of his short speech to the Man Up event at the Winter Gardens Margate today, Chris Wells Leader of Thanet District Council stated: “What I can say is that earlier this week Disruptive Capital, a city investment company, informed me out of courtesy they are commissioning a report to judge the viability of their plan for Manston Airport. This independent report will provide their investment committee with an assessment of project viability for continuing an aviation facility on this site. It is their report, undertaken to assess their potential risk and reward and none of us should expect to hear more until this report has been completed and considered by their investment decision processes.”
