Good Afternoon,
I understand you already know of the current debacle at Manston Airport in Kent. I will not go into great lengths on how this airport could be a huge economic and transport asset to the UK, as I am sure you are already more than aware of the pivotal role the airfield could play.
I request that you and the government intervene in any way you can to ensure the sale and continued operation of the airport. I would also love to hear what you intend to do in regards to protecting Manston Airport for the future.
This is an urgent issue – the airport operations have currently ceased and who knows just how quickly the site will begin to be stripped and demolished. We need action to save the airport for the future immediately.
Please engage with Manston Skyport Ltd., Riveroak Investments and any other parties involved to ensure the airport remains operational. Please also ensure that the CAA airfield licenses remain active, this is of paramount important as Manston Skyport Ltd have tried to hand them back to try and ensure the airport is no longer a going concern.
Thank you very much, I look forward to your reply.
