Search and Rescue concerns at Lydd Airport
Concerns have been raised in this week’s Kent on Sunday that Bristow’s Search and Rescue are operating within previously restricted airspace, in the vicinity of the nuclear power station, whilst based at Lydd.
An easy remedy would be to return them to Manston Airport, once it is re-opened, as promised by the Government. After all, Lydd was only supposed to be a temporary location.
Being based at Manston would ensure the optimum coverage of the South East.
