Herne Bay Airshow this Saturday, no decision yet on 2018
As there have been rumours posted on social media regarding this years show being the last, we have obtained the following quote direct from the organisers to explain the position:
These are only rumours – the Local Authority and Police are only doing what they’re paid to do – make sure the event is safely delivered.
There won’t be a formal statement until early September regarding whether we proceed again next year which is still to be discussed internally. If we don’t stage another event next year it will be purely a time issue; do remember we are volunteers with full-time jobs, staging what is Kent’s biggest one-day event for the benefit of Herne Bay. It may simply be that we have a year off for a well earned rest.
