Full Council Vote to Occur!
We have received some much more positive news this evening – Iris has called an Extraordinary Full Council meeting on Tuesday 16th December to discuss the compulsory purchase order. We understand that all 56 councillors are likely to be able to vote on whether to proceed with the CPO. We will be rallying outside Thanet District Council on the night, and times will be confirmed shortly.

The Cabinet meeting and our rally on the 11th December will still take place but TDC leader Iris Johnston rightly wants to allow every councillor to “have their say.” We strongly believe that a vote of all 56 councillors should occur and will be working to ensure this happens.
In other news, Cllr Iris Johnston announced that “The Aviation Minister John Hayes was to visit today but got delayed. We had a long telephone conversation and he promises to visit next week.”
