Public Enquiry for change of use appeals to be held 1st November 2016

We have received notice that the Public Inquiry into the refusal of the change of use of one building at Manston Airport and the delay in decisions on the others, will be held on Tuesday 1st November 2016 at 10.00am at Thanet District Council Chambers.  It will be overseen by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.

You will remember that the planning application to change one building from airport to general industrial use was refused by TDC’s planning department last year, with the decision on the others being delayed. However TDC confirmed that they would have made the same refusal on the remaining applications.

Subsequently SHP appealed and it was all due to go to a Hearing in July.

This Hearing was cancelled at the last moment in favour of a Public Inquiry because of the complexities of the case as posted here: http://www.supportmanstonairport.org/manston-planning-appeals-hearing-cancelled/
